DARC 2026
Faith on the Spectrum is excited to again offer Buddy support at DARC Summer Camp for Summer 2026. This program is designed for children who may benefit from a little extra support while participating in camp activities.
Our Buddy volunteers provide a 1:1 supportive presence throughout the camp day. A Buddy is a trained volunteer who stays alongside your child to help them navigate the camp environment. This may include offering support during transitions, helping with emotional regulation, assisting during sensory challenges, and simply being a calm and encouraging presence and freind so your child can fully enjoy the camp experience.
DARC Summer Camp runs for 9 weeks during the summer of 2026, and families can request Buddy support for the specific weeks their child will be attending. During registration, please indicate which weeks you are interested in so we can begin planning volunteer coverage.
After you submit the form, we will connect with you for a brief conversation about your child’s individual needs, preferences, and any sensory or emotional supports that may help them have the best experience possible.
Our goal is simple: to make sure every child has the opportunity to participate, feel supported, and enjoy summer camp with confidence.
Sensory Friendly Easter Egg Hunt 2026
The Easter Egg Hunt for Every Bunny! Our 2026 Easter Egg Hunt is designed so every child can enjoy the fun, excitement, and community of the day in a way that feels comfortable and supported. With thousands of non candy eggs to find, children can participate in a joyful hunt while knowing there is understanding and support close by. Faith on the Spectrum will have trained Buddy volunteers on hand throughout the event to assist children who may need a little extra guidance, encouragement, or help navigating the activity. We will also have designated quiet spaces available for anyone who may need a calm break from the excitement before returning to the fun. Families are encouraged to sign up ahead of time if they would like to reserve a Buddy for their child during the event, so we can make sure the right support is ready and waiting. Our goal is simple: to create a welcoming space where every child can participate, feel comfortable, and enjoy the magic of the hunt. 🐣

If you need a Buddy during a different week, reach out, we’re happy to work with other camps to help provide 1:1 support so your child can enjoy a meaningful and inclusive summer camp experience.rence.
