Buddy Program

Inclusion doesn’t happen by accident it happens through connection.

At Faith on the Spectrum, we know that creating a truly sensory-friendly environment takes more than thoughtful spaces; it takes people who care. The Buddy Program was born from that belief. Inspired by families who’ve experienced what it feels like to be left out, this program ensures no one has to face that feeling alone.

Our Buddies are trained volunteers who walk alongside children, teens, and adults on the autism spectrum, offering one-on-one support at faith-based and community events. Their presence helps transform uncertainty into comfort and isolation into belonging.

For those seeking a deeper connection, our Special Interest Buddies go beyond single events building ongoing relationships rooted in shared interests, trust, and understanding. These volunteers help individuals explore passions, grow confidence, and find their path forward.

Because inclusion isn’t just about access, it’s about friendship, consistency, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated.
