Buddy Program Details

Our Buddy program provides individuals with autism a personalized and supportive way to engage in community and faith-based activities. Volunteers, known as Buddies, are paired with individuals on the spectrum to offer one-on-one assistance, helping them navigate social situations, participate in events, and feel included. Whether it’s a church service, a social gathering, or a community event, the Buddy program ensures that every individual has the support they need to fully connect with others in a meaningful way.

For those with specialized interests, our program includes Buddies who are dedicated to uncovering and nurturing an individual’s passions. Whether the focus is on technology, animals, art, or another subject, these volunteers guide individuals as they explore and grow their talents, fostering confidence and personal achievement. Rooted in faith-based principles, the Buddy program not only promotes inclusivity but also creates opportunities for personal growth in a safe and supportive environment.

We also believe in empowering individuals with autism to become volunteers themselves. By supporting and hiring volunteers on the spectrum, we aim to create a diverse team of Buddies who can inspire others while building their own skills and connections. This ensures that everyone, regardless of their abilities, has the chance to make a difference and be part of a caring commåunity.

If you’re interested in becoming a Buddy, supporting our mission, or finding a Buddy for your loved one, Faith on the Spectrum is here to help. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels valued, included, and empowered to be their authentic selves.
