About Us

Faith on the Spectrum was born from love and determination to create a world where individuals with autism and sensory sensitivities are not just included but embraced and supported.

As a mom to a child with autism, I’ve seen how difficult it can be to find places where true inclusion happens where participation feels natural, not forced. Every person deserves to be their authentic self, to belong, and to thrive.

Faith on the Spectrum is a nonprofit helping faith and community organizations build sensory-friendly, inclusive environments. We offer hands-on guidance, training, and programs that remove barriers so individuals with sensory processing differences can fully engage in fellowship and community life.

At the heart of our mission is the Buddy Program: a network of trained volunteers who provide one-on-one support and friendship. Buddies help bridge the gap between intention and inclusion, ensuring that every person feels seen, safe, and connected. Our Special Interest Buddies build lasting relationships that nurture individual strengths, explore interests, and open pathways to independence and purpose.

Faith on the Spectrum is still growing, partnering with places of worship to create sensory-friendly rooms and inclusive programming—and one day, a dedicated space where faith and accessibility meet.

Whether you’re a faith leader, a volunteer, or a supporter who believes in a world where everyone belongs; there’s a place for you here.

Join us in making faith accessible to all.

Meet the Inspiration

Faith on the Spectrum began with one family’s story—a mother, her son, and a moment of realization that faith spaces weren’t built to include everyone. What started as a personal mission to make belonging possible has grown into a community effort rooted in love, understanding, and inclusion.
